1. Jack-O-Lantern Cheese Ball

Ingredients
2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/4 C. solid pack pumpkin
1/2 C. pineapple preserves
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 pretzel rod, broken in half
Decorations: Dark rye bread, red pepper, black olive slices,
parsley sprigs
Assorted crackers
Directions
Beat cheeses, pumpkin, preserves and spices in a medium bowl
until smooth. Cover; refrigerate 2-3 hours or until cheese is
firm enough to shape. Shape mixture into a round pumpkin; place
on serving plate. Using knife, score vertical lines down
pumpkin. Place pretzel rod in top for stem. Cut 2 small
triangles for the eyes. Small triangle of red pepper for nose.
Slice olives slices in half for the mouth. Cover loosely;
refrigerate until serving time. Serve with crackers.

14 oz. jar dry-roasted peanuts
1 C. golden raisins
1 C. Reese's Pieces

3. Haunted Pizza

Ingredients
1 18 oz. roll refrigerated sugar-cookie dough
4 3 1/2 oz. containers vanilla pudding
2 C. chocolate cookie crumbs or 20 chocolate sandwich cookies
with white filling, finely crushed
Assorted whole vanilla wafers or graham crackers or
chocolate-filled oval shortbread cookies
Black, green, red, and white decorator gel icing
Assorted candies, such as fruit-flavored jelly worms,
candy-coated chocolate-covered peanuts, and gumdrops
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 12-inch pizza pan or 3
baking sheets. With lightly floured hands, pat the cookie dough
into prepared pizza pan. If using baking sheets, divide dough
into thirds and pat each third into a 7-inch circle onto the
prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes for pizza pan or
8-10 minutes for smaller circles of dough, or until edges are
lightly browned. Cool on wire rack.
Spread vanilla pudding over baked cookie. Sprinkle with cookie
crumbs. Cover and chill. Meanwhile, decorate cookie tombstones.
Press cookies into pudding lay of pizza. If necessary, support
back of cookies with some of the candies. Decorate
"graveyard" with candies. Create peering eyes with
candy-coated chocolate peanuts make shoes, feet, and hands with
gumdrops; and arrange jelly worms. Cover and chill up to 4 hours
before serving.
Yield: 16-20 servings

Ingredients
1 4 oz. box instant chocolate pudding
2 C. milk
6 oz. whipped topping, thawed
1 box cake mix, any flavor
Decorations:
Gummy skeletons
Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies
Candy corn
Jelly pumpkins
Ghosts, spiders and bats Peeps
Directions
In medium bowl, blend pudding mix, milk, and whipped topping for
2 minutes. Let chill. Make cake according to package directions.
Cool for 2 hours. Frost and decorate as desired, using
ingredients as suggestions.

5. Eyeball Potion

Ingredients
8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
20 Blueberries or raisins
1 1/2 C. boiling water
1 large pkg. gelatin, any red flavor
1 C. cold water
Ice cubes
Directions
Using a small ice-cream scoop, place 2 scoops whipped topping
into each of 10 dessert dishes for "eyeballs." Place a
blueberry or raisin in each scoop for the "pupil."
Freeze 30 minutes, or until firm.
Meanwhile, stir boiling water into gelatin in large bowl at
least two minutes until completely dissolved. Mix cold water and
ice cubes to make 2 1/2 C.. Add to gelatin, stirring until
slightly thickened. Remove any remaining ice. Pour about 1/2 C.
gelatin around the two "eyeballs" in each dish,
leaving the top of the "eyeballs" exposed. Refrigerate
1 1/2 hours, or until firm.
